    FAQ

    Who can join this trip?

Most adventurers can join. Kilimanjaro is suitable for a broad age range with moderate fitness. Prior hiking experience helps, but willingness and basic preparation matter most.

    What is the difficulty level?

Kilimanjaro is not technical — no ropes or climbing gear required. The real challenge is altitude and endurance.

    How do I prepare?

Start training early with long hikes, stair climbing, and cardio. We include a pre-trip conditioning consultation to guide your preparation and gear.

Will altitude sickness be an issue?

It can happen. That is why we follow a gradual route, support acclimatization, and have guides monitoring the group closely.

    What accommodation is provided?

Before and after the climb, you stay in a comfortable local hotel. On the mountain, accommodation is in basic tented camps.

    What gear do I need?

A detailed packing list will be shared after registration. A pre-trip gear consultation is included to help you choose the right essentials.

Can I rent or buy gear in Tanzania?

Yes, it is possible, but we recommend preparing your gear before the trip to avoid last-minute issues.

    Is travel insurance necessary?

Yes, travel insurance is mandatory and must cover high-altitude trekking, medical emergencies, and evacuation.

    What is the group size?

We keep the group small, usually 6–10 participants, for a more personal and supported experience.

    What is the weather like?

January is one of the best times to climb, with clearer skies and good visibility. Temperatures can range from mid 20°C at lower levels to around -10°C or colder near the summit.

Will I have Wi-Fi or electricity?

No Wi-Fi is available during the climb. Mobile coverage may be available at some camps. Electricity is limited, so bring a personal power bank.

How do I tip the guides and porters?

Tipping follows local industry guidelines and is deeply appreciated. Suggested amounts will be discussed during trip preparation.

    Can I extend my trip?

Yes, you can add extra days after the trip. Additional costs and planning will be your responsibility.
