About Wadi Hawer
Wadi Hawer, also written as Wadi Hawir or Wadi Hawar, is a beautiful water-wadi connected to the Wadi Bani Khalid area in Oman. It is known for clear emerald pools, rock corridors, palm pockets and a more adventurous feel than the main tourist pools. The route includes hiking, scrambling and refreshing swimming sections, making it a perfect summer escape when we want water, shade and movement.
- This is a water hike, so expect to get fully wet.
- Swimming ability is important; bring flotation support if you are not confident.
- Dry bags are highly recommended for phone, wallet and passport.
- The wadi can involve rocky movement, small climbs and natural pool crossings.
About Bahla
Bahla is one of Oman’s most historic oasis towns, known for its old mud-brick character, traditional souq, pottery heritage and the UNESCO-listed Bahla Fort. We will use Bahla as our overnight base, giving the trip a relaxed heritage stop before heading into the water wadi the next day.

- Enjoy lunch together and ease into the Oman weekend.
